What are your thoughts on Austin Aries?
Austin is great it was one of those shocking moments when he won the world title. It will be one of those shocking moments that will be remembered. He is great on the microphone and he is great in the the ring. He is such a talented guy.
You have gotten over your issues and are on the straight and narrow. What is it like now being almost a veteran or locker room leader?
I Had the goal for 2012 to be a great year and it has been so far. I plan on finishing 2012 just as strong. Being part of TNA is as good as ever and the evolution is in full effect and crazy excited about the future.
Do you think there is anything left to accomplish in your career as it stands now?
Yeah, one major thing and that is this Sunday to be the champion one more time. As far as I am concerned it is the most important title in professional wrestling as far as meaning.
When you returned in August 2011 after all what happened how does it feel for TNA to have so much in faith in you and putting you back in World Title picture?
It means the world , Dixie Carter been tremendous the faith and belief in me. It is crazy this time last year I was in the slammer thinking what my future would hold for me. I am extremely proud of myself for this year and I hope my creatures are too.
What do you think has helped you to focus to get back on top of your game?
One of them is fatherhood. You can not believe how much love you have for one human being.
Why do you think your relationship between your fans is so strong even after all what you have done wrong?
I think that has to do with me meeting me out of the ring. When people meet me for a minute they know I am genuine, and I have never changed. Even when it is easy to have an ego I have just remained the same. I knew that when you got a serious offence or get arrested that is when the real second chance starts. You know that is the last chance and I can not screw up again.
What goals do you think TNA need have to keep on improving?
Just to continue getting as big as we can possible get and get better through 8-10 at Thursday Night. We got a lot of room to grow.
How does performing live effect you and the lockeroom?
Just a huge step and a good step. If we can stay live it is a massive step even if it is in a year or two years with IMPACT live and on the road. That is the next big step for IMPACT.
Who do you want to work with who you have not worked with?
Jushin Liger was a huge inspiration and would love to work with him.
You are known for your high risk moves. Any moments where you did not want to so the move and anything you want to do in the future?
There are several things I want to do. You have to train for them. I would love to do more springboard moves from the top rope like a top rope springboard whisper in the wind. One move I have had in my head is a back flip into a splash like a reverse 450 splash. Someone has probably already done it.
You have had issues with CM Punk and was wondering you views on him and views on him hitting out at a fan?
I have not seen it but CM Punk is great wrestler but we are on different pages with our beliefs and who we are. I need to check that out. He is crazy talented but we do not keep in touch. I have nothing bad to say about him.
